Thoughts for Thursday April 19th

This guy was told by his Homeowners Association that he couldn't fly the American flag in his yard. So..

This has been floating around Facebook, and I knew it was worth sharing with you, may we all be so proud!

Good morning everyone!!! Happy Thursday!!! I am not quite awake yet, but here I am, hoping to have a safe day today, after my little mishap, with a solid wood door yesterday falling over and landing on my head, it did not make for a good rest of the day. I am still a bit sore, and my neck is killing me but I am still alive so that is the important part. 

Have things to do today for the store, and a few errands to run, so hopefully I don’t get to tired to quickly. Going to lunch with my new friend this afternoon, and I am totally excited about that, Yeah!!! He is so awesome! And now that the old is completely behind me, and out of my system, I am ready to move forward 100% Life is good today and I am happy, (in a bit of pain) but happy.

I am so totally excited about all the retail store fixtures we will be picking up from the Big named Corporate store that is closing down at one of our malls here in town, and the Store Manager is a gem to work with, and is totally amazing! Mall management on the other hand has put a damper on things and said we only have 2 hours a day to move things out, from 8 am to 10 am before the mall opens for business, uggg that is going to be tough, so I canceled my first U-haul reservation and rescheduled for an earlier time, and a much bigger truck, now to just find the man power to help us get as much out as possible in that 2 hour time frame.

Not a whole lot else going on this weekend, just scouring Craigslist and Freecycle, for more goodies to put into the store, so it is full when we open. I did add 2 new fun pages to the $10.00 Thrift website you can find them here at Arizona10Thrift.wordpress.com/

 I received confirmation this morning that my store banners, fliers and swapper’s receipt books mailed out yesterday and should hopefully be here by next Tuesday yeah! I cant wait to see them.

ONLY 42 more day’s by the way until the store opens, in case you were wondering.

Thoughts for Thursday April 12th

Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday!!!

I have a bunch of running around to do today, and am going to the store, to make plans for the new windows I picked up off of Craigslist yesterday, and look at some clothing racks, so we can actually hang clothes up in the store, I also picked up a cabinet yesterday, not realizing that it was a counter, cabinet, so now I get to go shopping for a counter top, and it will be perfect at the entrance of the store for our check in counter, I am totally jazzed. I am also going to make a stop at Stardust Building Supplies, it is like a used, version of Home Depot, or a Goodwill for home building supplies, cabinets, doors, electrical, pretty much anything you  need to build a house just used.

I will take my camera with me, so I can take pictures, of our space, pre us, at the moment it is actually quite a mess, they were using it for storage, but I want it, so they have to move, and everyone that knows me, knows, I usually (but not quite always) get what I want. In this case, it is mine! Yep, I am good like that.

It is cool, cloudy and windy here today, I wish mother nature would make up her mind, so I can figure out my closet, and weather it wants to be summer, winter or fall, I would be happy with a comfortable spring.

Going to go hang with my bff Faithann this morning for a while, before I head over to the store. Want to remind everyone that Sunday April 15th is NO GAS Day, so please make sure to fill your tank on Friday or Saturday.

Life is good today and I am in a really GREAT mood even though I feel like crap, I am in desperate need of my chiropractor but he is closed today. Uggg. I have not sat down yet and worked on the blog, but I will get that done this weekend, so you can have your Wednesday’s websites back and Friday’s Favorite finds.

Well I must run, you all have a GREAT weekend and I will chat with you again next Tuesday, smile and have a GREAT day, I know I will.

Thoughts for Thursday April 7th

Woo hooo! I made it!! My Thursday’s thoughts on track this week.

I am just so excited about the new store, details are coming together nicely, and helping my new friend put his new store together making his postcards, gift certs, and business cards for him, doing advertising for the both of us, and  playing mom all at the same time. Life is good and I am thrilled.

I have finally been able to put the past in the past and let it go, and am totally comfortable about the way life is going today.

I do have a bit of work to catch up on concerning the blog but that should be easy enough, I just need to figure out where I ended and start fresh from there.

I am going to share both postcards I made with you then end my post there, I have a few more things I need to get done here soon, so you all have a GREAT day and a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing you next week.

Thoughts for Thursday March 15th

Well I do have lots of thoughts today, since I forgot to Tell on Tuesday. Why did, I forgot to Tell on Tuesday, well because, it was a beautiful day out, and  I spent the morning with my fav. wife Pat Bergstedt, spent the afternoon with a new friend : ) & then went to sit w/ my favorite Josie girl. Once I got home, I caught up on 2 days of Y & R then off to bed I went, realizing after the fact that I forgot to tell you all about our weekend in Surprise, so here it goes.

Perfect weather all weekend, what a great way to spend it, outside with ton’s of great friends, and making new ones! I was happy with Friday night, it went well, passed out lots of cards, and talked to a lot of people, went to the truck, happy with the day, spent the night in the truck just did not feel like driving the 15 miles to Joi’s so I stayed there. 

Saturday, was not so good, kinda slow and not a whole lot of excitement going on, but at least I had my T. with me, so we had a nice time hanging out together, and camping out in the truck Saturday night, Thankfully Marc and Amy had extra blankies, with them, because I had not brought enough and it was a bit chilly.

AZ.’s Chic Denim Rocked in Surprise on Sunday, gained 2 possible new recruits, and 4 possible parties out there, and passed out lots of cards!!! I was exhausted, but very happy with my day! All in all it was a good weekend, and I was happy with it, and would gladly do it again, they are talking about a weekend in November I sent in my RSVP.

I am looking forward to a fun day out in Peoria at Momma’s Organic Market on Saturday, March 17th I have not been a vendor at their market in years, so I am really looking forward to taking Vault Denim out there with me.

Took a nice almost 2 mile walk with my Josie girl, yesterday afternoon, since her momma said I can unplug her from her monitor. Amelia and Greg live in a condo by the lake just north of Metro, and it has been so nice out, the walking path, is just screaming to be used, so we did, our first lap we did I carried her the whole way around, then with all that work, my poor little miss was just starving to death so we went in and ate dinner then when mom got home, we put her in her stroller then took off for another walk, which was just as nice the second time around, and I look forward to walking it more often.

I think that is all for now, I must run, I have a kitchen to clean, and laundry to do, so you all have a GREAT weekend, and I will chat with you next Tuesday.
